Cockroach Hunter

During the tsunami warning, a friend told us that we were being initiated, and now that we'd been through a tsunami, we were true Hawaiians.  But I'm thinking nights like last night are really the heart of Hawaiian life, since we have them much more often!

I've learned that squashing a cockroach is a bad idea, because their... um... manner of squashing makes me want to hurl.  So here's our new method...

Haha! I love it! Very entertaining. But gross at the same time... glad you were able to get it out of your apt.

Fabulous! This reminds me of this one time we had a wooden walkway leading up to our house, and roaches liked to live under it. But it was okay as long as the light was on. But, one time, the light went out. And then a cockroach crawled up my leg. In the dark. I've had the heeby-geebies around them ever since.

A competitively large cockroach! Is that the way pest control companies eliminate roaches?

This video makes us all want to visit you. For real. You guys are way too much fun. Not to mention Alyse could teach you a thing or two about catching cockroaches...(drumroll)...with her bare hands!☺ Personally I prefer roach spray.

Hahaha... Lindsay! We almost titled it "Visitors Welcome" because we knew people would be SO drawn to our apartment after seeing our six-legged friend. :)

Heidi says that if you come visit us, then you, Heidi, Whitney, Alyse, and Sophie can share our big bed, and "THE BOYS GET THE RUG." I guess Violet gets the couch? :)

We'll be there as soon as we win the lottery or strike gold in our backyard. Since we never buy lotto tickets the kids are out digging right now. Whitney thinks we have a better chance of finding oil. But let's be realistic...all they're going to come up with is more cockroaches.

This is AWESOME!! We have cockroaches too but we've yet to see one this big.. This video cracks me up! I was closing at work the other day and grabbed something from under the desk when a cockroach that big came FLYING at my face!! I screamed and had a random freak out where I couldn't stop shaking! SCARY!
